Irish / Dutch ornamentalist, Owen Brouwer, uses spatial storytelling to capture different aspects of the city, the architecture and the people that live within it. Each work, in whatever medium, physical or filmic, is a spatial dedication to a particular subject, place or subculture.
Ornament has the ability to tell stories and express culture spatially. Starting with psychogeography as a research method for investigating place, Owen then turns to a wide range of mediums to both capture, amplify, fictionalise and reimagine urban instances and visual street cultures.

Brouwer is particularly drawn to the collaborative nature of film. It’s a place where creative individuals, from all discplines, with unique expertise come together for a collective output.
